As I am out of school today, I have the time to share with you some pictures from my family’s cruise to Alaska. However, the reason school is cancelled is due to Hurricane Irma. Though the now-classified tropical storm may be dying out, let’s keep in our prayers those who are dealing with and will have to deal with the natural disaster’s repercussions.
About the Trip
Though I’m not a big fan of cruises, I would 100% recommend traveling to Alaska. The excursions were unforgettable, the scenery is awe-inspiring, and the people there are some of the nicest and most adventurous I’ve ever met.
We were fortunate to have had great weather while visiting Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway where we drove side-by-sides, flew in a helicopter to trek across a glacier, and went dog-sledding. Our last stop was in Victoria, British Columbia (Canada) where we zip-lined for several hours with two witty and adventurous tour guides.
These pictures can’t possibly compare to seeing Alaska in real life, but none-the-less I hope it will encourage you to visit the beautiful state one day. Enjoy!
