Ahhh!!! If there’s one thing I’m sure of, its that not many things in life have excited me as much as holding the keys to my first car. There’s a great sense of pride and responsibility in (partially) owning my own vehicle.
My parents and I purchased my 2016 Jeep Renegade Limited on November 28th and I have driven it for almost a week now; I couldn’t be happier! I began car searching mid November with my parents knowing that I wanted a smaller, boxy car and they wanted it to be safe. We only visited a couple of dealerships and looked at a few cars on CarMax before I had my heart set on the Renegade. As we compared prices, it ended out that buying a new 2016 Renegade Limited was around $3,000 more expensive than buying a new or used 2015 Renegade Latitude (a more basic version than the limited).
Being traditional, my parents were reluctant to agree to buying me a new car but finally decided the difference in price made a better investment to purchase the newer model. And thank God we did because those heated seats have saved my life! I did have to pay the $3,000 difference with money I had saved in my car/college funds, but I would agree it was definitely worth it.
To anyone looking into buying a car that is sporty yet comfortable and safe, I would recommend the Jeep Renegade. The overall NHTSA safety rating for the 2016 model is four out of five stars, the mpg is up to 22 city / 31 highway, and the interior is to die for! Once I found the more rare orange and brown interior design, there was no way I could settle for anything else. These are some pictures I took of my vehicle below!
